25 years on - Inequalities still matter
Community Development and Health Network (CDHN)
We are delighted to have Professor Jennie Popay as our keynote speaker, Professor of Sociology and Public Health with Lancaster University, who will speak to us about why community empowerment, lived experience and social justice should underpin all of our efforts to tackle health inequalities. This will set the scene for a vital discussion about our approach in Northern Ireland, and why, despite ever widening inequality gaps, the dominant focus continues to be on behaviour change and lifestyle factors. We expect a large number of attendees from a range of backgrounds which will make for lively and stimulating debate.
A hot fork buffet will be served at 1.30pm.
