My Organisation
The Alzheimer’s Society is the leading care & research
charity for people with all forms of dementia, their
families and carers in the UK.
There are 17,000 people in Northern Ireland living with dementia. This figure is set to increase to 47,000 by 2050.
Dementia is not a natural part of ageing; it is caused by diseases of the brain. With the growing numbers of people whose lives are affected by dementia, the challenge facing the Society is immense.
Alzheimer’s Society needs to raise money to care for people today and to find a cure for tomorrow.
