Based in Northern Ireland we work with middle/long distance athletes from rural East Africa. Registered Charity Number- NIC103288
Project Africa Athletics is a Northern Ireland registered charity (NIC103288) set up in 2014 to help support athletes and athletic clubs in rural areas of East Africa, primarily focusing on Uganda and Kenya.
The aims of the project are-
– To give exposure to athletes who possess the required talent to compete in a “semi-professional” manner and earn a decent living through running.
– Assist our athletes with developing sustainable projects back in their rural villages, such as- maize planting, coffee growing and small scale farming.
– Our long term aim is to develop a fully equipped athletics camp which provides the structure and support necessary for selected athletes to harness their talents and realise their full potential.
