We need your help to source and book venues/ events for the NI Membership Development team to attend. You will also help to ensure that events run smoothly so that the team can recruit as many new members as possible.
RSPB membership really is the lifeblood of the Society and underpins every single thing we do. It helps us fund nature conservation work here and across the UK. It is therefore important that we book great events, where there is ample opportunity to recruit new members.
This role will suit someone who would like to gain experience in events organising. You will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and sociable office environment, and the experience you gain could lead to employment in this sector.
You'll need to be organised, have experience using Microsoft office systems and have a friendly, confident phone manner to approach external organisations. You should be able to work independently, using your own initiative. You also need to have the confidence to strike up conversations with strangers, a desire to help, an enthusiasm for wildlife and conservation, and be able to think outside the box!
Appropriate training will be provided and expenses re-imbursed where necessary. Detailed knowledge of birds/ wildlife is not required.
