Win a Minibus for your youth organisation, school or community group!  

CYP was established in 1940 as an independent, voluntary association of local youth clubs and youth organisations. Formerly known as The Boys' Clubs and, later, The Boys' & Girls' Clubs, our mission is to support the personal and social development of young people and to promote community development and good relations.  

This year sees Clubs for Young People (CYP) celebrating 75 years as a voluntary youth charity working to support local children and young people.

TrustFord, the world's largest dedicated Ford dealership group, has launched an exciting new partnership with Clubs for Young People in the shape of a Soapbox Derby taking place at this year's International Oyster Festival at Hillsborough on 5th September 2015.

The Soapbox Derby is now open to all registered youth organisations who wish to enter a team - one entry per organisation - there are 4 Prizes of £500 each and the overall winning soapbox and team will be awarded the Grand Prize of a new Ford Minibus for their youth organisation / club.

CYP delivers youth projects and youth sports competitions and events which enable young people to gain a sense of success and accomplishment; each year we work directly with around 2000 young people. We aim to inspire young people and those who work on their behalf to be their best in the pursuit of shared goals and to make a real difference in their community. This is the purpose of Clubs for Young People – it's what we aspire to achieve.

CYP is a NI registered charity and limited company and an infrastructure youth organisation which delivers key support services and programmes to a network of over 160 youth clubs and youth organisations with a combined membership of 18,000 young people and volunteers.
