We are happy to announce that further funding through the Building Change Trust means we are able to offer more FREE courses of up to four hours duration to groups which are volunteer-led or rely mainly on volunteers to deliver their service.
You just need to provide the venue and people - we will come to you.
The content of these courses is determined by your organisation’s requirements. When you call us, we will talk through your development and training needs with you and a course will be designed to meet these.
Courses delivered so far have included:
- Workshops to create a Recruitment Plan and Role Descriptions;
- Youth sessions on communication and leadership skills;
- Action plan sessions to decide what policies and procedures organisations need to develop;
- Sessions on developing a selection process;
- Support and Supervision of Volunteers;
- Volunteers and the Law.
The courses provide frameworks for groups to consider, clarifies responsibilities in a volunteer environment and focuses on formal practice but with an informal approach.
Allocation of courses to groups will be a 'first come, first served' basis and we are open for bookings now.
Please contact Lizanne Frawley on 028 9081 8308 or Lizanne.Frawley@volunteernow.co.uk for further information or to book your course.
