Volunteer and Help Break a Guinness World Record on 5 December!

Conservation Volunteers Northern Ireland are looking for volunteers to join with Girls Aloud star Nadine Coyle to help break the Guinness World Record for the most trees planted on one site, in one hour, at Gransha Park, L’Derry on 5 December at 11am.

The event, taking place on International Volunteer Day, is part of the BBC's Breathing Places Tree O'Clock Campaign. The team have a target of 23,000 trees being planted by 100 people in one hour, to beat the current record of 18,124 trees planted. Volunteers in L'Derry will compete against teams in Essex and Hertfordshire. If you want to join the record breaking team contact the BBC Breathing Places team at breathingplacesni@bbc.co.uk

Visit www.bbc.co.uk/treeoclock to find out the other tree planting locations in Northern Ireland where you can join in and attempt to beat the World Record for the most trees planted in multiple sites in one hour.

The UN International Volunteer Day offers an opportunity for volunteer involving organisations to recognise the work of their volunteers and for individuals to make visible their contributions to their local community.
