UTV IS LOOKING FOR SOMEONE LIKE YOU

UTV’s Sarah Travers is in search of ‘People Like You’ nominations to celebrate individuals who make a difference in Northern Ireland when The Magazine returns in mid-October.

The Magazine showcased some of Northern Ireland’s most thoughtful and hard-working residents in the last series. People like Leona Rankin from Coleraine who was nominated for the great work she has done through setting up the Boom Foundation which raises funds and awareness of Sarcoma.

Sarah is sure there are still lots of people out there who deserve to be celebrated and recognised.

“Some of the ‘People Like You’ awards presented earlier this year were just remarkable. It could be a charity fundraiser, a community worker, perhaps a dedicated teacher or a hard-working single parent.
“The person can be any age, from any background or any part of Northern Ireland, but they will all have one thing in common – they are the kind of person who goes out of their way to help others.

“Successful nominees will be surprised on the programme, so you must remember to keep your nomination a secret.”
