This Certificate is organised and delivered jointly by Volunteer Now and the School of Education at Queen's University Belfast (QUB).
Delivered part-time over one year, it provides an academically rigorous programme based on nationally recognised standards of good practice. The programme is open to individuals who have some current responsibility for managing volunteers who may wish to:
- develop a coherent system for the effective management of volunteers;
- have their skills as a volunteer manager recognised;
- achieve an academic yet wholly practical qualification to support and develop their role as a manager of volunteers.
Cost and Bursaries
The course costs £660. Bursaries are available towards these costs. Applications for bursaries are open to those who:
- work or volunteer within the voluntary and community sector in Northern Ireland and;
- have been offered a place on the above course.
Level
Assessment
There are 4 assignments. The first 3 assignments ask you to critically analyse your volunteer programme against course content. The final assignment is to conduct and analyse a work based project that addresses a development need within your organisation.
