Understanding Age Legislation and Social Policy in Ageing

This detailed and comprehensive session will focus on the legal and social policy framework of aging and includes: Age Legislation in Northern Ireland including employment law and Age Ageing and Social Policy Becoming a more Age Friendly organisation Understanding demographic change and the aging population. This workshop will include practical simulations for best practice in drawing up Age Positive recruitment campaigns, a policy discussion on the potential for goods facilities and services legislation in Northern Ireland and an examination of Age Demographic change on a global level and how it affects the policy agenda.Who Should Attend: The course is designed for anyone working with or employing older people.Fees: Advice NI Members £30/Voluntary & Community Sector £45/ Statutory and Private Sector £65.CPD Hours: There are 3 CPD hours available for this course.Education/Professional Framework: Educational/Professional Framework: This course can be used as evidence towards a range of units in our Advice and Guidance NVQ’s and Legal Advice qualifications including ‘Understand the Importance of Legislation and Procedures’ (Unit 30).
