Study community youth work part time at the University of Ulster

Apply now to study community youth work (starting in September 2012) at the University of Ulster.

We offer community youth work programmes at the Magee campus (in Derry) and the Jordanstown campus (7 miles from Belfast).

The following part-time programmes (undergraduate and postgraduate) are now recruiting for September 2012 entry:

Certificate in Community Youth Studies (Magee): This one-year programme provides training at pre-vocational level. Attendance is one day each week. Application deadline: 30 April 2012. Contact: Alastair McKinley (t: 028 71675410, e: [email protected])

 BSc (Hons) Community Youth Work (Jordanstown): This four-year NSETS-endorsed programme leads to a recognised JNC professional qualification in youth work. Attendance is one day each week. Application deadline: 30 April 2012. Contact: Pat Henry (t: 028 90368430, e: [email protected])

PgDip/MSc Community Youth Work (Jordanstown): To be eligible for this three-year NSETS-endorsed programme (PgDip: two years; MSc dissertation: one year) applicants should have an undergraduate degree (minimum 2.2), at least two years’ relevant experience in a youth work setting, and currently be employed in community youth work. PgDip/MSc Restorative Practices (Jordanstown): This part-time programme provides training in restorative skills for those working with families, local communities, or victims; or within the criminal justice system, schools, or peace-building programmes.
