Register Your Volunteering Opportunities to Students

With the new academic year just kicking off, register your volunteering opportunities to students within the University of Ulster by contacting the University of Ulster Volunteers Centre.

The University of Ulster Students’ Union Volunteer Centre is launching a new online database in mid-October where students can register and search for volunteering opportunties within the local area.

If you are a registered charity, community group, public sector body or social enterprise and would like to promote your volunteering opportunities to students at the University of Ulster you can register free of charge as an organisation with the UUSU Volunteer Centre. Once registered the UUSU Volunteer Centre will advertise your opportunties, and promote them via monthly online newsletter to students, as well as provide any relevant support.

By registering with the UUSU Volunteer Centre, the Centre will be able to accredit students who may be volunteering with you through either the University's Ulster EDGE Award or the Millennium Volunteers scheme administered by Volunteer Now. It also allows us to make sure the organisations we are promoting are able to support their student volunteers appropriately.

Students can bring a wealth of skills to your organisation from assisting with research projects, to providing IT and social media support to being a peer facilitator in engaging with young people.

To register with the UUSU Volunteer Centre before the launch of the online database please contact Claire McLoughlin, Volunteering Development Coordinator E: [email protected]  T: 028 9036 6960 M: 07531552059
