  • Understand the purpose of supervision in mediation
  • Understand different types of supervision in mediation
  • Recognise the key responsibilities in one to one supervision in mediation
  • Understand the skills required for supervision in mediation
  • Understand the procedures required for supervision

This course is for anyone who has undergone an ‘accredited mediation training’ (in any sector) who wants the skills to be a professional practice supervisor to support other Mediators in their mediation practice whether the mediators are internal to an organisation or external independent mediators.  You should have sufficient experience as a practising Mediator to enable you to assist those to whom you will be supervising.

The training will build on the skills base already achieved in the field of mediation to give participants the additional skills to supervise other mediators in their practice.

The training will be both informative and enjoyable.  These topics will be covered using a mixture of practical exercises, group discussion, input from trainers and personal reflection.  Participants will also be encouraged to work independently on the topics between sessions using book lists, discussion with other people or observation.
