Time2Change (a local alcohol project) and FACT older peoples project (Fermanagh Armagh Connecting Together), have developed and        delivered an over 60`s Health and Well-Being morning in Derrylin Parish Hall, Derrylin, on the 12 February 2015 and Lisbellaw on 19 February 2015.

These health and welfare promotion initiatives were geared towards the over 60`s community in Derrylin, Lisbellaw and the surrounding area. The events are designed to promote inclusion, reduce isolation and increase support to local   individuals and families and are held in rural areas for local people.

These local events are essential to ensure people in rural areas are kept informed about appropriate benefits and agencies which can help provide support in their lives.  Those who attended benefited from FREE barber services, reflexology, kinesiology and Indian head massages.  Local pharmacists were available for health checks and the   Action Cancer Big Bus provided health checks and breast screening.

The next health and welfare day will be hosted in Tartaraghan Parish Hall, Portadown, Co Armagh on 15 April 2015 from 11.00 am—2.00 pm.

Promoting health and welfare to FACT members is an essential part of our project.  We have had many positive feedback stories from members who have attended and as a result made significant changes in their lives either from a financial or health perspective.

On the day there will be

FREE refreshments

FREE health checks

FREE ladies pamper sessions

FREE reflexology taster sessions and a host of agencies relevant to over 60s.

The Farm Families Health Check Bus will be providing its services and is the only service you must pre-book with Yvonne in the FACT Armagh Office on 028 378 8008.

Call on the day and bring some over 60s friends or neighbours along!
