Can one person be an effective local councillor and an MLA and maybe an MP and a Minister too? Today's event in NICVA will feature live blogging.
Dual mandates
Dawn Purvis MLA has tabled a Private Members Bill dealing with the controversial and timely issue of elected representatives holding more than one job. Can one person be an effective local councillor and an MLA and maybe an MP and a Minister too? Or is it a matter of personal choice for elected representatives to decide how hard they work as suggested recently by the Minister for Finance and Personnel?
This afternoon's event at NICVA will give you the chance to have your say.
