Dr B's trainees are medal winners!

Dr B's trainee chefs 16 year old Michael Auld and 18 year old Ashlee Young from East Belfast both competed in the Hotelympia CATEX awards. Michael from Carnmoney  won gold and was awarded overall winner in the Ability Section with an Asian inspired dish. His success at Hotelympia followed a gold award in the Ability Section of the IFEX all-Ireland catering awards held inBelfast earlier in the year. Part of Michael’s prize will see him spend a week this summer working in the kitchens at internationally renowned Chef Anton Mosimann’s private dining club in Belgravia,London. He is currently on placement in the kitchens of The Malt Room restaurant inBelfast.

 Meanwhile Ashlee won bronze in the Parade de Chefs. Ashlee has been a trainee with Dr B’s Kitchen over a year and has recently taken up a full time position at the La Mon Hotel.
