Children Encouraged to ‘Spring into Action’ for Rural Support

To mark the arrival of Easter, farming charity Rural Support is calling on all children to get creative and enter its “Easter on the Farm” colouring competition to help raise awareness of its important service this Spring.

The charity, along with its CSR partner, Simple Power, is encouraging young children to take part to be in with a chance of winning a packed Easter chocolate hamper.

Rural Support Director, Jude McCann commented: “We are asking young competitors for their views  and reflections of life on the farm.  The Easter and Spring period, which can often be one of the busiest times of the year for farmers also brings longer days, longer hours and the end of the financial year.  This can also bring additional stress and we want all farming families and businesses to know assistance is available if needed through our confidential helpline - 0845 606 7 607.”

To enter the competition to win the special Easter Hamper, go to www.simplepower.co , download the activity sheet, design your ‘Easter on the Farm’ egg and send it to Rural Support, The Lodge, Loughry College, Cookstown, BT80 9AA by 10th April 2015.
