BBC Children In Need Eating Disorder Project

It will offer enhanced cognitive therapy (CBT-e), which is an individualised psychological treatment for eating disorders (anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa and Eating Disorders-NOS). The model was originally developed for outpatient treatment for adults and has now been adapted for young people.

The project aims to prevent Eating Disorders reaching a chronic stage by offering support to young people with early onset Eating Disorders, on an outpatient basis. It is not suitable for those with very low weight or a BMI under 17.5.
