Barnardo's NI celebrates its volunteers

Barnardo's NI recently held an event to recognise and celebrate its volunteers as part of Volunteer Week 2014.

Some of Barnardo's NI 500 volunteers attended an event at Cultra Manor House recently as part of Volunteer Week 2014. Volunteers who give their time, dedication and skills to the wide range of Barnardo's children's services were presented with certificates of recognition by Barnardo's NI Director Lynda Wilson.

Mrs Wilson said: “We are so proud of our volunteers, the work they do and the time they commit. Having dedicated volunteers helps us reach more children and deliver quality services.  Volunteers can take on a range of roles from befriending, to supporting young people with disabilities to administration to literacy support. We also need volunteers for our shops and to help us fundraise. There are many ways volunteers can get involved with Barnardo’s whatever your skill set.”
