The Awards for Bridging Cultures (ABCs) rewards grassroots projects run by voluntary and community organisations that help to build bridges between communities and cultures. The ABCs is funded by the Baring Foundation and run by iCoCo.
The Awards for Bridging Cultures (ABCs) is open to organisations across the UK. This year we are keen to attract more applications from Northern Ireland, to highlight good work that we know is going on there.
Download the ABCs guidance for applicants to see if your project is eligible for an award or visit www.bridgingcultures.org.uk for more information and to see last year's winning projects.
Don't miss the deadline for applications - 5pm, Monday 14 September 2009.
There are three categories for organisations (two for voluntary sector, one for public/private sector) and one category for individuals. The voluntary sector winners and commended organisations will receive cash prizes. All applicants are invited to attend a one day learning event and awards ceremony at a prestigious London venue in December.
The application and assessment process is simple but fair. The emphasis is on the impact of the project itself and how well it meets the judging criteria, rather than on how well written the application is!
Visit www.bridgingcultures.org.uk for information and to apply online.
