Special Promotion ‘Allergic kids eat FREE’
When you have a severe food allergy, eating out can be very concerning and a difficult experience. As part of Allergy Awareness Week we approached over 40 hotels and an equal number of restaurants, cafes etc asking if they would agree to an allergic child eating free, when accompanied by a parent or family who were also eating there.
We felt this was another way of raising awareness of food allergies within the catering trade and also to encourage food allergic families to try a new venue.
Each establishment receives an information pack including posters, flyers etc and additional resource information from safefood to assist them in accommodating food allergic customers.
Further information about these events and others throughout the week can be found on our website: www.allergyni.co.uk
