Advice NI is recruiting participants for the ‘Older Person Adviser Course’ and short courses. These courses are aimed at those working with older people and cover issues such as age awareness, benefits, pension, health, community care and housing.
Advice NI is recruiting participants for the 'Advantage' training courses (accredited training on age issues). The courses have been developed in partnership with Age NI and A2B. They are aimed at those who work in an advisory capacity with older people, and other groups working on age sector issues.
The courses are accredited with Open College Network Northern Ireland at level 3. Learners can attain accreditation for individual modules or for the full course. Courses include the full Older Person Adviser Course and the following short courses:
- Age Awareness & Working with Older People
- Introduction to Older People’s Benefits
- Understanding State Retirement Pension
- Health Rights & Services for Older People
- Community Care & Older People
- Housing & Older People
