Accreditation in Understanding Diversity through Indian Arts – Call for participants

Following on from Bangor, Belfast & Derry City, Beyond Skin launch the next World Of Music Arts & Dance (WOMAD) Open College Network accreditation course to be hosted in Coleraine.

During February and March a variety of artists representing the world’s most prestigious international arts festival ‘WOMAD’ will hold an extensive intercultural educational programme in Coleraine.

WOMAD now in its 33rd year, has hosted festivals and education programmes in twenty-six countries and is considered as the pioneer of multicultural festivals.
The Intercultural arts organisation & local partner for WOMAD in Northern Ireland, Beyond Skin and Northern Ireland Children’s Enterprise (NICE) will be delivering an Open College Network (OCN) accreditation course through Indian Arts at the Causeway Volunteer Centre. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about Indian culture in a creative interactive way through music & art whilst exploring themes that relate us all as global citizens.

All participants have the opportunity to gain a level one accreditation in “Understanding Diversity through the World Of Music Arts & Dance”
With the world changing around us, understanding diversity has never been as important as it is today. This course aims to bring out the best in people through an exciting creative process exploring diversity themes; human rights, identity, equality & global citizenship.

“NICE are delighted to be working in partnership with Beyond Skin & WOMAD to bring this great opportunity to life. Whilst learning more about the world around us and how we can contribute towards a better shared future, participants can also learn a new artistic skill in the process of doing so. And the accreditation will be a welcome addition on any CV or job application.” Carmel McCavana (NICE)
