Full-time Youth Worker- WAVE Ballymoney

 

WAVE, a regional voluntary organisation which provides care and support to children and young people affected by ‘Troubles’ in Northern Ireland, wishes to recruit the following for our Ballymoney Centre:-

 

Youth Worker    (Ballymoney)        Ref: YW/BM/OCT/12/

 

Salary:            £21k p/a plus benefits

Hours:                        35 hrs p/w (which will include evening and weekend work)

 

The successful candidate is required to have at the closing date for applications:-

 

  • Degree qualification

 

  • Two years experience of working with young people in a voluntary or paid capacity, which must include:-           

 

  • (i). formal needs assessment

 

  • (ii).designing and implementing programmes to meet those needs

 

  • (ii). evidence of evaluating outcomes for individuals and groups

 

  • Knowledge of other relevant statutory and voluntary youth agencies

 

  • Demonstrable knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
