Young Carers Support Worker (Various Locations)

Crossroads are currently recruiting for Young Carers Support Workers in the following locations:

- Belfast 

- Downpatrick area

- Crossgar/Killyleagh area 

- North Down and Ards

- Lisburn/Dunmurray area

- Lurgan/Craigavon area

- Carrick/Newtownabbey area

- Cloughmills/Ballymoney area

- Magherafelt area. 

The Young Carers Support Workers will be responsible for collecting Young Carers (young persons aged between 5yrs - 18yrs) from their homes and take them to arranged social outings, to return the young carer's home after social outing has finished. To make sure all activities are safe and enjoyable and to take any training courses provided. 

Rate of Pay

£7.50 per hour plus 25p per mile

Essential Requirements

- 18+

- Full driving licence

- access to personal transport with adequate insurance cover for this post.

- Must agree to an Enhanced Disclosure application being made and to attend Child Protection Training before commencing employment     

Hours of Work

Approx. 6-9 hours per month. (Mainly 2 evenings per month) Activities will be centred in your local area – with reasonable travelling involved.
