Young Ambassador Executive

Fixed Term until 31st March 2017

Full time- 35 hours a week

The Prince's Trust is a youth charity that helps change young lives. We give practical and financial support, developing key workplace skills, such as confidence and motivation. We work with 13 to 30-year-olds who have struggled at school, have been in care, are long-term unemployed or have been in trouble with the law. We have helped more than 825,000 young people since 1976 and support 100 more each working day. More than three in four young people we helped last year moved into work, education or training. We are committed to equality and valuing diversity.

This is an exciting new pilot project designed funded by the Department of Communities until March 2017

The Young Ambassador Plus programme is for young people who have changed their lives with support from The Prince's Trust to give back to their communities and inspire other young people to believe in themselves and their potential. Young Ambassadors receive dedicated support and high quality training to develop their skills and confidence and undertake roles such as public speaking to a range of audiences,supporting other young people by volunteering on programmes and contributing their views to help shape services for young people.  However some young people will find themselves in periods of unemployment post programme;this role with support these young people gain volunteering experience and an accredited qualification to ultimately impact on them achieving a positive outcome in the future.

This position will require an enhanced Access NI disclosure certificate. Having a criminal record will not necessarily bar you from working with us.  This will depend on the nature of the position and the circumstances and background of your offences.
