Community Foundation for Northern Ireland

CFNI has a unique opportunity commencing in March 2016. We are looking for people to work with us on an exciting research project to find out how communities in Northern Ireland feel about their area.

Are you passionate about community development? Perhaps you are studying or have studied social sciences? Or do you have an interest in a particular area of Northern Ireland life? The Community Foundation for Northern Ireland has a unique volunteering opportunity commencing in March 2016.

We can provide opportunities for those that wish to simply volunteer on a one off basis or for those who can commit a bit more time – either way, please get in touch. There might even be an option to intern with us for a set period of time, if this would be more suitable.

We are looking for people to work with us on an exciting research project to find out how communities in Northern Ireland feel about their area. This piece of work will be launched in October 2016. You will assist the Policy Officer with research duties, seen as appropriate, contributing to the completion and delivery of Vital Signs research. Vital Signs is piece of research, used by the Community Foundation to understand our communities better. We will do this by talking to communities and gathering data, culminating in published reports detailing significant social and economic trends to tell the story of how communities in Northern Ireland are faring, in 10 key quality of life areas. Vital Signs connects the dots between existing data and community perceptions to dive deep on issues. The Community Foundation for Northern Ireland will use Vital Signs to start conversations and identify trends to help communities come together to act on local priorities and opportunities.
