Volunteer Development Officer - 1 Year Full Time

The Welcome Organisation is committed to supporting, enabling and celebrating volunteering in all its diversity and seeks to appoint a Volunteer Development Officer to coordinate and develop our volunteering programme which involves volunteers in a range of projects focussed on supporting people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

This is a 1 year post with the possibility of extension (funding dependent)

Hours of work 37.5 hours per week

Salary £18,000 per annum

Place of work, 36 Townsend Street, Belfast, BT13 2 ES

The Volunteer Development Officer will recruit, train and support volunteers in a variety of roles across the organisation. Additionally the Volunteer Development Officer will manage the volunteer rotas across services

You must have at least two years of experience working in a similar role. Proven ability to use a variety of I.C.T. equipment and software packages Strong communication skills – verbal and written and the ability to give presentations, and facilitate group discussions.

The post is subject to enhanced criminal record checks by Access (NI)

The successful candidate must be willing to work evenings and weekends as required
