North Down & Ards Women’s Aid is currently recruiting for Voluntary Board Members.
North Down and Ards Women's Aid exists to provide advice, support and refuge to women and their children who have experienced or are still experiencing the effects of physical, emotional or sexual abuse.
Our vision is for a time when the voices of women, children and young people living with domestic violence, are heard and understood, where support and information is available locally, where the communities in which we live are safer, healthier and where domestic violence is eliminated.
We are currently seeking Voluntary Board Members to join a diverse and committed team working co-operatively at a governance and strategic level. The Board consists of individuals from a range of background with diverse skills and experience who are working to meet the challenges and opportunities in a changing environment. A commitment to the values, ethos, culture and objectives of North Down & Ards Women’s Aid and an understanding of the areas in which we work would be advantageous, but not essential.
We want to enhance our membership and build on existing skills and experience. We particularly welcome applications with experience in the following areas:
Finance
Fundraising
Marketing
Children’s Social Services
Family Law
Induction training will be provided. This is an unpaid voluntary position.
