Young Enterprise are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic individual to facilitate and deliver a range of Young Enterprise business education programmes to young people in the North West area.

The successful candidate must be motivated, professional, work effectively within a team and be self-managing, possessing the ability to manage their own time and work independently. 

Young Enterprise, the leading business education charity helps more than 90,000 young people aged 4-25 each year to understand how business works, delivering its programmes in schools and colleges throughout the Northern Ireland, supported by a network of volunteers from the world of business.

The Training Officer will co-ordinate and deliver a range of Young Enterprise business education programmes in schools throughout the North West area and other areas as required. The schools will be across Derry~Londonderry, Limavady, Strabane and Coleraine. When not delivering training, the post holder will be based in an office in Derry~Londonderry. The role is part time, Monday to Friday 9.00am - 3.45pm (30 hours per week). The salary is pro-rata.

The successful candidate must demonstrate the following:

Essential criteria:

  • Third level education e.g. HND, degree and minimum of one year relevant work experience in training design and delivery; or three years relevant work experience in training design and delivery

 

  • Experience of working with young people (either in a voluntary or employed capacity)

 

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills; to include presentation delivery and report writing

 

  • IT literate – please demonstrate with examples:  proficiency in the use of all Microsoft Office applications; aptitude in the use of iPads; willingness to develop skills and apply learning.

 

 

  • Access to a car/own transport facilities and where applicable, a current valid driving licence and willing to travel across Northern Ireland as required.

 

Desirable criteria:

  • Experience of volunteer management, training and recruitment

 

  • Experience of working in the business and/or education sector in Northern Ireland and knowledge of these networks

 

 

  • Recognised training or facilitation qualification.
