EXTENDED DEADLINE!!
TCV are recruiting a Training Officer to coordinate the Natural Heritage Skills Training Programme across Northern Ireland.

TCV is funded by The Heritage Lottery Fund to run a programme of training to develop natural heritage management skills and to promote high quality management of habitats and landscapes across Northern Ireland. The project develops natural heritage management skills in five key areas:

1. The skills to understand Northern Ireland’s natural heritage and plan improvements.
2. The skills to undertake practical habitat management, improvement and creation.
3. The skills to manage the landscape and contribute to landscape-scale conservation.
4. The skills to achieve sympathetic access to Northern Ireland’s natural heritage.
5. The skills to teach heritage management skills to others.

The Training Officer will coordinate the project and also act as a trainer on practical courses and topics they can cover, including assessment for NCFE accreditation. There is a budget to buy in external trainers to cover many specialist topics.
The project is across Northern Ireland and a clean driving licence is essential. TCV vehicles are available for travel to the locations required.
Working hour: 35 hours per week, although some weekend or evening work may be involved for which time off in lieu is taken.

Current funding runs to 31 March 2018, although it would be TCV’s intention to secure further funding
