Trainee Family Support Worker

ABBEY Sure Start is a dynamic, voluntary and statutory sector partnership funded by the Department of Education through the Northern Childcare Partnership Board to provide a range of services to families with children aged under 4.  The support services we offer are designed to encourage children to reach their social, emotional, physical and intellectual potential.  To help us deliver our support programmes we are recruiting for the following position.

Trainee Family Support Worker

(25 Hours per week/48 weeks per annum)                                                       

 Ref: TFS17 £8.65 per hour

(12 months training) with a move to Family Support scale -£9.06-£10.48 per hour if training is successfully

We are enhancing our team by recruiting a trainee Family Support Worker, working with families of 0-4 year olds which will proactively offer opportunities to develop their parenting skills in a supportive environment.

The successful candidate will meet the Essential Criteria as per application pack.

It is essential that the person meets the travel requirements of this post.  It will involve travelling within the ABBEY Sure Start area and beyond.
