The Support Worker is part of the team whose function is to meet the practical, physical and emotional needs of individuals in receipt of services within the Cedar Foundation Supported Living Schemes.

 

 

The Cedar Foundation is seeking to recruit the following staff member:

 

Support Worker                                           Ref: 17/132/SW-WBLO/WEB

 

The Support Worker is part of the team whose function is to meet the practical, physical and emotional needs of individuals in receipt of services within the Cedar Foundation Supported Living Schemes.

 

Through a key worker system, he/she will also have involvement in the designing of individual programmes of support and be responsible for delivering the accommodation support and care packages.

 

Hours:                       Various roles between 20 - 35 hours per week including evenings and weekends

Salary:                       £7.65 per hour

Contract:                  Permanent

Location:                 Supported Living Services with primary location in West

                                Belfast

Essential:    

  • Numeracy & literacy (English language) skills
  • ·         Demonstrable evidence of 6 months experience of providing physical care / support for individuals within the last 2 years
  • Registered or agreeable to applying for registration with the N. Ireland Social Care Council
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Be flexible to work on a rota basis that includes unsocial hours and weekends
  • Job references

 

Desirable:                

  • ·         NVQ 2 (Health & Social Care) or equivalent
  • English & Maths to GCSE grade C or equivalent
  • ·         Knowledge of the needs of the client group(s)
