Support Worker - Nights (LCD6114)

We currently require a Support Worker to work nights at our supported living service at The Maples in Belfast

 

This role is currently under consultation

£7.20 per hour for those aged over 25

£6.95 per hour for those aged below 25 (all rates subject to consultation)

Plus enhancements of 20% for night and weekend work

Part-time, 20 hours per week – working nights

The Maples is a sheltered/supported living service. The staff are on-site 24 hours of the day, 7 days a week to deliver the care and support to the tenants using this service. The Maples contains 31 self-contained flats, each having their own bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, living room and storage area. The building includes communal areas, laundry facilities, a meeting room and a common room for socialising. Recently 5 new accessible flats have been renovated to include full wheelchair access.

The successful candidate is expected to provide assistance with personal support and other daily living tasks to disabled people within their own homes. You will work in partnership with the people who use the service, to maximise their independence and access local facilities and opportunities, including recreational, educational, social and leisure whilst adhering at all times to the values of the organisation.

Applicants must demonstrate a willingness to obtain QCF Level 2 in Health and Social Care as well as undertake any training that is required (including updates). It is essential that applicants have the ability to maintain confidentiality, and can travel to attend relevant meetings and training which may be held at different locations. Previous experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be given.  You must have the ability to work on your own (lone working) as well as work as part of a team. It is essential that applicants have the ability to maintain accurate, up-to-date records, can communicate effectively, and demonstrate an adequate level of IT skills.
