Due to significant growth and expansion of our Lifestyle Support Service in Bangor we are recruiting a number of full time permanent support worker roles.

 As part of this initiative we will be at the Ards and North Down Jobs Fair on Thursday 25th February 2016, Marine Court Hotel, 18-20 Quay St, Bangor, North Down BT20 5ED from 10:00am – 4:00pm. Staff will be available on the day to talk to you about the positions and job information packs will be available on the day. You will be working in Supported Living and Community support services which will be supporting individuals build their independent living skills such as maintaining their tenancy, building and maintaining positive relationships and with personal care. You will also be supporting individuals to access a range of day opportunities in their local community as an alternative to traditional day care. 

We are looking for people who are trustworthy and caring, inclusive and enthusiastic about putting people with a learning disability at the heart of everything they do, positive and are not afraid to challenge the wrong ways of thinking about learning disability. Experience within the care sector is an advantage but not essential as we will give you all the training needed to be able to start your new and rewarding career. Your shifts will cover mornings, evenings, sleep-ins, and waking nights including bank holidays. 

This role requires you to be self motivated, have excellent time management and communication skills as well as proven experience of working effectively within a team.

Holidays – 28 days per year annual leave entitlement (including bank holidays) rising by 1 day per year for completed service to a maximum of 35 days.
