Female Support Workers in Omagh required

Positive Futures supports people with a learning disability and their families.
We’d like to introduce you to Sarah, who lives in Omagh with support from our Sperrin Supported Living Service. Sarah needs support when she’s at home and to help her get out, have fun and be involved in community life.
And that’s where you come in.

We’re recruiting Support Workers who will have great rapport with Sarah and provide the support she needs. To help, Sarah drew a self-portrait and told us the type of person who would be a good Support Worker for her. This includes: Happy, nice & friendly, not bossy, chatty, able to drive to go out places, active, to go to the gym and on walks, up for a laugh.

We’re looking for people who care about others, care about the sort of community we live in and are interested in a career in caring.

Support Workers earn a gross salary of £13,260 to £14,790 per year for a 37.5 hour week. A sleep-in allowance of £31.37 per night is payable. Because of Sarah's particular circumstances, we will be recruiting female support workers on this occasion. (For this post being a woman is a genuine occupational requirement in accordance with Article 10(2)(b) (i) of the Sex Discrimination (NI) Order 1976 (as amended).
So, if you’ve got the skills we need, you could be just a few steps away from the start of a new career.

Full Job Profile and Person Specification attached.
