Sport NI is seeking to fill the Director of Participation vacancy through the Interchange secondment programme. The role is for one year initially, with possibility of extension for a further year.
About the role
There are over 100 staff organised in four Directorates, including Participation Directorate, each headed by a Director who report to the Interim Chief Executive Officer. Sport NI intends to implement a Voluntary Exit Scheme during 2017-18. Individual Directors are accountable to the Interim Chief Executive for delivery of business objectives, people management, financial management and governance in relation to their respective Directorates. As a member of the Executive Team and a senior leader, the Director of Participation will play an active and visible role in leading and supporting the programme of change at organisational and Directorate levels.
Participation Directorate promotes and facilitates physical activity and the achievement of Sport NI's Active Communities strategic objective. At May 2017 it comprises 40 staff. Its 2017 - 18 budget totals £9m.
