Opportunities are available for sessional work in:-
- The Pupil Support programme( PSP), aims to maximise educational achievement by improving sense of belonging, self esteem and engagement within Post Primary Education. It provides a short, sharp focussed programme of work for Key Stage Three students on an individual and small group basis to work through highlighted problem areas and improve motivation and esteem levels. Additionally the programme supports parents to engage positively with their children and work with the school.
Sessional staff will be required to commit to 10 hours per week during term time.
- The SHAHRP project is a school based alcohol harm reduction programme available to young people in all post primary schools in the Eastern Board area. It provides young people with information on the harms / risks and accompanying difficulties associated with alcohol and other drugs. Staff will be fully trained in each of the five elements available to schools. Primarily staff will be delivering scripted one hour workshops to groups of between 40 and 120 pupils. Staff will be provided with all materials required for session delivery, but will be expected to travel to schools and deliver independently. All work will be on a sessional basis with a minimum of two weeks’ notice given for each session.
