We are urgently seeking counsellors to deliver group work to our monthly support groups in Belfast and Armagh for patients, carers and family members affected by Huntingtons Disease

Support groups last for 2 hours (usually on first Thursday of the month from 2-4pm in Belfast and the third Wednesday from 7.30-9.30pm in Armagh) with an hour facilitated by our HDANI Support Worker and then the counsellor arrives and leads the second hour to deliver group work based on our counsellor handbook.

The group counselling engages a range of themes relevant to members including depression, symptom denial, anger etc

We have limited funding to support this valuable work and as such volunteers are most valued however we can pay a flat session fee of £35.

Counsellors will be required to supply references and undergo AccessNI checks.

Counsellors should be fully qualified and have their own supervisor and insurance in place.

Preference may be given to those with IACP or BACP accreditation or those with group work experience.

Training and HD support will be provided.
