Senior Community Fundraiser (Belfast area Home based)

Children in Crossfire

Children in Crossfire is an International Development organisation that works to promote and protect the rights of children who are caught in the crossfire of extreme poverty.

The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and nurturing a Community Fundraising base in The Belfast Area. They must have experience in organising/managing events and of achieving set/annual targets as well as experience of managing volunteers. This is a full time post and is Home Based.

 SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:  

-          To achieve fundraising income targets by successfully managing and developing a calendar of community fundraising events and activities in the agreed area.

-          To manage the recruitment and support of participants in local events, eg. Belfast marathon and other 3rd party events as agreed.

-          To develop & manage new support groups, as appropriate, to maximise fundraising.

-          To manage all volunteer led fundraising in your area; recruiting and supporting volunteers to maximise income and develop a long-term volunteer fundraiser  support network.

-          To establish and develop relationships with local groups, churches and organisations to maximise income for Children in Crossfire through long-term sustainable partnerships.

-          To provide an excellent level of donor care and supporter stewardship and ensure a high standard of communication with donors through all mediums.

-          To manage the income and expenditure budget for the agreed activities and provide regular reports on fundraising activities including analysing financial performance.

-          To support the wider Fundraising Programme as and when required.  This will include campaigns such as the Annual Advent Campaign etc.

-          Report to and cooperate fully, with the Head of Finance on all matters of finance ensuring all financial systems are implemented fully.

-          Report to and cooperate fully with the Head of Fundraising on all aspects of your work, producing objectives and reports on a monthly basis or more often if required.

-          To help with wider organisational activities as deemed necessary.

To be flexible in terms of working hours as the role will include working at weekends and in the evenings.
