The Project Officer will provide a range of a support interventions for young people with ASD aged 8-18 living within the Armagh / Dungannon areas.

The Cedar Foundation is seeking to recruit the following staff member:

The Project Officer will provide a range of a support interventions for young people with ASD aged 8-18 living within the Armagh / Dungannon areas.

Hours:                        15 Hours per Week

Contract:                    Temporary, up to December 2015 (with possible extension)

Location:                    Southern Health & Social Care Trust 

Salary:                        3 point incremental scale starting on £20,849 per annum pro rata

Essential:                  

  • 3rd level qualification: NVQ 4 / Degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline such as Psychology, Education or Health and Social Care
  • 1 years paid direct experience in the provision/co-ordination of training or support programmes for individuals with ASD

And

  • 1 years’ experience of working with children.
    • Experience in providing family support
    • The ability to work as part of multi-disciplinary team
    • Experience of using standard office IT applications such as Word, Excel, the internet and email
    • Ability to meet travel requirements
    • Available to work evenings and weekends

 

Desirable:                 

  • Completion of accredited ASD Qualification
  • Experience of assisting in the delivery of a range of innovative and good practice models for individuals with ASD or vulnerable groups of people.
  • Knowledge of relevant organisations and their roles in supporting access to social and community activities
  • Experience of using modern technology to communicate with the client group safely effectively
