The duties include ensuring that all patients are assisted into the vehicle with due care to their health and safety using relevant risk assessments and safe systems of work and to transport patients safely to designated address following discharge from hospital.
You will be educated to Standard Grade standard or equivalent (including English and Maths) and have experience of working in a customer facing environment and/or working with vulnerable people. It is essential that you hold a full Driving licence and are aged 21 years or over. You will have a reasonable level of physical fitness required so that the driver/escort can assist patients with mobility problems, push wheelchairs up ramps and use moving and handling equipment including (as part of a team) a carry chair to carry/move patients. Shift patterns including weekend work will be essential to this post.
