Regional Good Relations Trainer Mediator (Two Posts)

TIDES are now seeking to recruit two Trainer/Mediators (Peace IV) on a 3-year contract basis to deliver the DARE to Lead Change programme. This project has been supported by the EU’s PEACE IV Programme, managed by the Special EU Programmes Body.

Post Aim:

The Trainer/Mediator/s will deliver a multi-cultural, cross-border, cross community programme on behalf of TIDES Training and Bryson Intercultural. To promote positive relations, characterised by respect, and where cultural diversity is celebrated and people can live, learn and socialise together, free from prejudice, hate and intolerance.

The main purpose for the job is

To be responsible to the DARE Executive team for developing and leading on the DARE Action Plan under the Special European Union Programmes Body’s (SEUPB) Peace IV funded programme to support a range of programmes which meet the long-term outcomes related to the Programme.

The project will Build Relationships on a multi-cultural basis using a 4-element approach:

Build Relationships by developing multi-cultural community champions through Integrated training

Improve Relationships by working together to provide Diversity workshops to schools, communities and workplaces

Sustain Relationships by supporting those who have responsibility for individuals who feel vulnerable due to cultural differences and create a space for:

Strategic Dialogues to influence relevant policy and practice, and reinforce progress towards a peaceful and stable society

The successful candidate must have A Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline e.g. social science; community development; community relations; TIDES training for Trainers programme AND 3 years’ experience working in community relations. OR 5 years paid experience but do not hold a Degree. See Job Description for further information.
