Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week. Reasonable hours outside of this may be required to fulfil the duties of this position
Leave: 20 days plus 12 statutory days

Probation: This post is subject to a 6-month probationary period. The Company reserves the right to extend this probationary period.

Job Purpose
The post holder will oversee the development and growth of the current workshop and recycling projects. They will take the lead in the development of new and existing recycling projects, and will manage and oversee all recycling contracts, council contracts, returns and evaluations, while actively seeking new opportunities to generate additional income.
Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- To manage the day to day operations of the workshops
- To assist and oversee the repair and refurbishment of stock
- To be responsible for managing and developing a team of staff and volunteers
- To utilise the current ‘Management Information system’ to create efficiencies and increase production
- To manage council and third party recycling contracts
- To monitor, evaluate and report on the progress of the workshops by developing appropriate administrative systems and procedures in conjunction with the Head of Social Business Services
- To ensure contract value and profitability
- To identify new areas of income generation with the development and implementation of trial and innovative projects that will lead to an improvement in income
- To establish and maintain networking relationships
- To organise the transport delivery and collection arrangements to ensure the efficient and timely collection and delivery of stock to shops
- To source stock and materials for use in the conservation and restoration process
- To provide an effective customer focused service to all internal and external stakeholders
- To maintain financial and administrative procedures
- To work within an income and expenditure budget
- To provide a health and safety focused environment
- To comply with all environmental protection legislation
- Any other duties conducive to the effective operation of the post and deemed to be within the post-holder’s competencies
