Role descriptions:

Project Workers – Floating Support

MACS Floating Support Service provides a range of interventions to assist at risk young people aged 16-25 in maintaining their own accommodation.

The post holder will be:

• Responsible for developing support packages within a team context to that enable young people to gain skills and confidence to access / manage their own tenancies.
• Providing support to young people at risk of suicide/self harm
• Developing new, innovative and alternative approaches to work with the client group

Project Workers – Supported Housing

The Supported Housing Service (Move in to Move On) provides accommodation and Housing related support to young people leaving care to make the transition to interdependent living and their own tenancy. The Service delivers high quality support to young people aged 16-21.  Staff practice to a case work model which emphasises ongoing assessment, support planning and working with risk. This work is complemented by a range of group work supports and interventions. Young people are accommodated at one site, in single unit self contained flats.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

• Two years experience of working with at risk young people aged 16-25

Or

• Degree in Social Work or Community Work with;
• 1 years experience of working with at risk young people aged 16-25

AND

• Experience of risk assessment and management of ‘at risk’ young people
• Experience of needs assessment and support planning with at risk young people aged 16-25
• A full current driving licence is required so as to be able to meet the requirements of the post in full.

Salary: £21,388 per annum with pension at 4% of salary
