Project Worker (Temporary - Maternity Cover)

As a Project Worker for the Domiciliary and Support Teams within Homecare, your role is to ensure that clients who present multi-complex needs are given comprehensive front line support and assistance to enable them to live independently.

Client Profile

Homecare Domiciliary and Support Services Team provide support for vulnerable individuals and families. Client profiles may include individuals:

• With mental health problems
• With learning and/or physical disabilities
• Those at risk of poverty and social exclusion.
• Experiencing trauma, bereavement, homelessness, and drug or alcohol misuse

It also may include:

• The elderly
• The sick

The Project Worker is required to:

• Assess individual clients and make necessary arrangements prior to move-in
• Contribute to support plans
• Provide, where appropriate, personal care tasks such as washing, dressing, showering etc.
• Carry out practical support tasks with the individual (if appropriate) such as house cleaning, fire lighting, shopping, cooking etc
• Reminding clients to take their medication
• Promote personal and physical independence where possible
• Implement programmes of support
