The Project Worker will identifying training, educational and employment opportunities that will move adults with physical/sensory disabilities closer to the labour market with in the Western Trust area, Northern Sector.
Salary: £20,198 per annum (3 point incremental scale)
Hours: 37 hours per week
Contract: Temporary (Maternity cover, 9 month contract)
Location: Western Health & Social Care Trust, Northern Sector
Essential:
- 3rd level qualification: NVQ level 4/Degree or equivalent level professional qualification
- Minimum of 1 year’s paid experience in the direct provision of education, training or support
OR
- 2nd level qualification to NVQ 3 or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 year’s paid experience as above
- The ability to work as part of a team and sustaining effective working relationships across agencies
- Experience of using standard office IT applications such as Word, Excel, the internet and email
- Hold a full current driving licence valid for use in the UK and Ireland and have access to a car on appointment.*
*This criterion will be waived in the case of a suitable applicant who has a disability which prohibits them from driving but who is able to organise suitable alternative arrangements in order to meet the requirements of the post in full.
Desirable:
- Diploma in Vocational Guidance or Supported Employment
- Previous experience of vocational training
- Previous experience of Support Employment
- Knowledge of relevant organisations and their roles in supporting access to social and community activities
