The Cedar Foundation is seeking to recruit the following staff member:

 

Project Officer                                                          REF: 17/107/PO/WEB

 

To support disabled people to secure sustainable employment opportunities and achieve positive outcomes through participation in programmes which Cedar is contracted to deliver by the Department for Communities (Workable (NI) and the Department for the Economy (Disability Support for Participants on Training for Success and ApprenticeshipsNI). Cedar delivers the Workable (NI) programme in collaboration with a number of other disability sector organisations in the Supported Employment Solutions (SES) partnership.

 

 

Hours:                        37 hours per week

Contract:                    Ongoing

Location:                    The Cedar Foundation, 1 Ravenhill Reach Close, Ormeau Embankment, Belfast BT6 8RB

 

 

Salary:                        3 point scale commencing on £21,268 per annum

 

Essential:                  

  • Minimum QCF level 5/Degree or equivalent level professional qualification

  • Minimum of 1 years’ experience in working in supported employment, recruitment or learning support

    OR

  • Minimum QCF level 3 or equivalent

    Minimum of 3 years’ experience as above in delivering training, or working in supported employment or recruitment

    AND

  • Full current driving licence with access to a vehicle for work purposes (consideration will be given to alternative travelling proposals in respect of applicants with a disability who cannot hold a licence).

     

    This criterion will be waived in the case of a suitable applicant who has a disability which prohibits them from driving but who is able to organise suitable alternative arrangements in order to meet the requirements of the post in full.

     

    Desirable:

  • Experience of working with people with disabilities or other disadvantaged groups

  • Experience of supporting employers or training organisations
