JOB DESCRIPTION

Project Officer– Part Time, the position will be until 31st March 2015 with possible extension

Location:                   

Poleglass Community Association @ Sally Gardens

Hours:                        

18 hours per week

Responsible to:         

Centre Manager

Salary Scale:              

Points 28 £12,315

Responsible for:        

The post holder will be responsible for centre development based on current and future strategic planning.  The post holder will source project funding and be responsible for financial management and administration.

Job purpose:             

To improve access to local services and develop existing provision.  To provide operational expertise in the core functions of Poleglass Community Association @ Sally Gardens.

Main duties and responsibilities

1. To provide operational expertise in specific areas to include HR, Project Management, Tendering & Procurement
2. To create an environment for regeneration and wider community involvement which directly impacts on socio-economic needs
3. To access funding and contribute to the development of project planning
4. Responsible for project management, monitoring and development of centre services
5. To contribute to the development of local empowerment and building community cohesion
6. To assist in the improvement of social renewal and social conditions for residents in the Colin area
7. To development creative initiatives that meet the responding economic needs
8. To develop organisational resilience and future sustainability
9. To prepare budget planning, reporting and monitoring,
10. Work at all times within the wording and spirit of the policies and procedures set out in the Staff Handbook
