NICVA is recruiting for a Project Coordinator to work on a new and exciting project, delivered in partnership with The Detail.

The Detail Data project is an exciting new collaboration that brings open data, journalism and the community and voluntary sector together. Through a mix of training, seminars and conferences open data will be demystified and the community and voluntary sector will learn how data can be used to develop and enhance their work, strategically develop services and lobby government for change. You can read more about the project here. The project is funded through the BIG Lottery Ideas Fund.

Our project partners, The Detail, will work with community and voluntary groups to develop media stories using the data. The Detail, a not-for-profit news and analysis website was established in 2011, and its work has helped to position investigative journalism at the core of the news industry in Northern Ireland.

Job Title: Project Coordinator
Salary: Salary equivalent to NICVA salary scale H, NJC Salary points 32 -34 (£27,323 - £28,922). Candidates will normally be appointed at the start of the payscale.
Status: Full time, fixed term for three years

Along with other essential and desirable critieria the successful candidate will have the following essential experience:

  1. Three years’ working experience of project management to include:
  • delivering a programme/s of work within agreed timeframes to meet identified targets and
  • project promotion.
  1. Experience of event planning and management.
  2. Experience of leading a collaboration with external agencies or organisations.
  3. Experience of using a range of digital communications tools including social media and writing for the web.
